Evidence-based lifestyle medicine consulting for individuals and organizations ready to build vibrant, sustainable health — at the root.
I'm Ioulieta (Julie) Bolanou — a Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine professional, public health leader, and former clinic CEO with over two decades of hands-on clinical and executive experience.
My work sits at the intersection of evidence-based medicine and human behavior. I've spent 20 years as an Occupational Therapist, 14 years building and running a multidisciplinary clinic in Greece, and now bring that breadth of experience to individuals and organizations in the Bay Area and beyond.
Currently a Health & Corporate Wellness Educator at Kaiser Permanente, I specialize in lifestyle medicine interventions — nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and social connection — as the foundation of lasting health transformation.
I am fluent in English and Greek, and bring a cross-cultural sensitivity that enriches every client relationship.
Work With MePersonalized, root-cause consultations addressing chronic disease prevention and reversal through evidence-based lifestyle interventions — nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and connection.
Specialized wellness strategy for Silicon Valley teams and organizations. From resilience training to evidence-based health education, I help companies build proactive occupational health cultures.
Drawing on Stanford-level training in brain science, I help high-performing individuals and teams understand the neuroscience of stress, decision-making, and sustainable peak performance.
Empowering families and children to cultivate joyful, lifelong healthy habits through age-appropriate, evidence-based lifestyle medicine coaching — nourishing the whole child in body, mind, and spirit.
For healthcare organizations, clinics, and public health entities seeking to design, implement, or evaluate evidence-based wellness programs. Includes data analysis and outcome measurement.
The American College of Lifestyle Medicine defines six evidence-based pillars as the foundation of health. My practice is built on all six — because true wellness requires addressing the whole person, not just symptoms.
Eating patterns that nourish the body and reduce chronic disease risk.
Movement as medicine — personalized to your life and goals.
Sleep optimization as a cornerstone of cognitive and metabolic health.
Building resilience and nervous system regulation for lasting wellbeing.
Evidence-based guidance on reducing health-harmful behaviors.
Nurturing relationships and community as vital health determinants.
The DipACLM credential represents the highest standard of clinical training in lifestyle medicine — a rigorous, evidence-based discipline recognized globally as the future of preventive and therapeutic health care.
My journey in health spans two decades of clinical practice as a licensed Occupational Therapist, during which I developed a deep understanding of how lifestyle, environment, and behavior shape long-term wellbeing. That clinical foundation led me to build and lead my own multidisciplinary clinic, where for many years I served as both CEO and Clinical Director — growing the practice from the ground up, managing a team of clinical professionals, and ensuring the highest standards of care and operational excellence.
Alongside my clinical leadership, I pursued graduate training in Public Health and went on to earn board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine — a credential that reflects my commitment to evidence-based, whole-person care. My research has been published in the European Journal of Public Health and presented at the World Congress on Public Health in Rome.
Today, I work across three roles that reflect the full breadth of my expertise. At Kaiser Permanente's Skypark Lifestyle Medicine Clinic, I coach children and families — from ages three to seventeen — on building healthy habits, making nourishing choices, and sustaining a healthy lifestyle for life. Through Kaiser's Community Health Promotion department, I deliver webinars and workshops on a wide range of health topics for individuals, organizations, and community projects. And in my private practice, I work one-on-one with individuals and companies seeking a personalized, evidence-based approach to health — guided entirely by the principles of lifestyle medicine.
I am also a Stanford Continuing Studies alumna with coursework in brain science, AI, mindful leadership, and negotiation — tools I bring into every client relationship.
